LIMA – The Peruvian government submitted its 2023 budget plan to the National Assembly on Friday, proposing a 9 percent increase from this year’s original budget to 215 billion soles ($55.93 billion).

The budget plan also estimates cumulative consumer prices to increase by 3.5% for 2023, much lower than the economy ministry’s 4.9% inflation forecast a day earlier.
