Pro wrestling battle royale Rumbleverse coming in August for PC and console
Rumbleverseprofessional battle royale from Iron Galaxy and Epic Games, with release date: August 11. Free to play game, mixing the ultimate whims of Autumn boys featuring WWE PPV’s animated violence, will be available on PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Rumbleverse to be revealed in December in the Game Awards 2021. Game maker, Iron Galaxy, is co-led by Adam Boyes (formerly of Sony Interactive Entertainment) and Chelsea Blasko, who apparently came up with the idea for Iron Galaxy’s next big project after Extinction. “‘We should do rasslin“,” Blasko said, according to Boyes, and rightly so.
In Rumbleverse, 40 warriors boot into a battle royale map and eliminate each other with melee attacks, earning loot to boost their stats as the ring shrinks. Iron Galaxy’s promotion so far lies in the ultimate fun of the action, with expensive elbow strikes landing from the tops of skyscrapers.
However, initial public game testing for the “brawler royale” didn’t go well, and a month later, Iron Galaxy indefinitely postponed the game’s expected early access launch, sending Cashback for those who bought early. Since then, Rumbleverse received several gaming sessions to solidify the experience.
RumbleverseIron Galaxy says the first season will begin a week after launch, with a Battle Pass offering unlockable content to customize your luchador. The game’s Duos mode will also be available, “to anyone with enough power to download it,” the studio said, meaning tag team as well as solo action in Grapital City.
“One thing that we discovered is that a lot of people who are good platformers like Mario, Crash, Spyro fans, have become the best players, very quickly,” said co-CEO. Iron Galaxy, Adam Boyes told Polygon in December. “So, I think, about how you move around the world because that’s your frustrating integrity.”
