Queen’s Piper Plays Bagpipes At Funeral

The emotional moments are especially iconic as the Queen begins most days with the sound of bagpipes.

Like something of an alarm clock, the piper would play at 9 a.m. for 15 minutes for the monarch wherever she was.

Pipeline Major Scott Methven, who held the role from 2015 to 2019, told BBC last week that he knew the Queen very well during her time in office.

He told the BBC: “It’s an honor for the queen to watch you play. “She’s interested in bagpipes, but she already knows you as a person.”
