“Language has nothing to do with one’s intellectual abilities. It is just a means of expression. That is the unifying conclusion of all the research done in the world on foreign language learning and mother tongue education,” said Shah.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to offer education in Hindi and other Indian languages in engineering and medical courses under the new education policy and he must congratulate the parliamentarian government. Britishers have left but they have left English behind and now we have an ironic situation where Tatya Tope Nagar is called TT Nagar or Maharani Laxmibai College is called MLB College. ”
He added that the initiative to start education in one’s native language will especially help middle-aged and below students and the poor sections of society who have their primary education in Hindi. and when they get into a technical school or medical college, they develop an “inferiority” not because they don’t study well, but because they don’t know English well.
