Respawn Entertainment Hired for ‘Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title’ Possibly Single Player
According to a recent job listing, Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment is currently recruiting for the “Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title” which is most likely a single-player game.
According to the report of Dexerto, one of the job listings mentioned is for a Senior Engine / Systems Engineer – C++ that will be the “Senior Systems Engineer (Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title)” who will “design, build, and maintain the technology that enables the team to create compelling gameplay and immersive experiences.”
Another job listing for a Hard Surface Artist In this project it is mentioned that Respawn is “looking for a talented and experienced Mid-Level 3D Surface Artist to help build a brand new Respawn single-player adventure.”
It is important to note that Respawn is recruiting for the title of “Apex Universe FPS Incubation” along with a “New Game Incubation Team” it could be the same game.
For those hoping for a new Titanfall game, it’s interesting that Respawn specifically refers to this new project as being in the “Apex Universe” and not Titanfall, which existed before Apex Legends was released. Respawn also said specifically it doesn’t work on a Titanfall game because it has “too many other games” at the moment.
In the year 2021, Respawn is renting for a “brand new single-player adventure” in a “single universe”, and it is not clear whether these lists have anything to do with the previous ones.
Either way, Respawn Entertainment is very busy as they are continuing to support Apex Legends along with development. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a Star Wars FPS and a Star Wars strategy game.
