The central authority issued a summons to Varsha Raut earlier this week. Accordingly, she arrived at the ED office located at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai at 10:40 am.
She is expected to face her husband, who is currently in ED custody, and several other defendants involved in the case.
Police officers were deployed in large numbers outside the ED office.
The Central Authority is conducting an investigation in relation to an alleged Rs 1,034 land scam related to the redevelopment of the Patra “chawl” in the Goregaon area of Mumbai.
Sanjay Raut, a member of the Rajya Sabha, was arrested by the ED in this case on August 1 and a local court on Thursday sent him away for further detention until August 8.
The ED had previously told the court that Sanjay Raut and his family had received “crime proceeds” worth more than Rs 1 crore generated from alleged irregularities in the redevelopment project. House.
In April, ED temporarily tied assets worth more than Rs 11.15 crore to Varsha Raut and two associates of Sanjay Raut as part of an investigation.
