Birmingham, Ala. – A total of 1,531 student-athletes were inducted into the SEC Academic Honor List Spring 2022, Wednesday by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.
The Spring 2022 SEC Academic Honors List includes the sports of baseball, golf, softball, tennis, and track and field. It is based on grades from Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
Any student-athlete participating in a Southeast championship sport or a student-athlete participating in a sport listed on their institution’s NCAA Sports Sponsorship Form is eligible conditions for nomination to the Academic Honors Panel. The following criteria will be followed: (1) A student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher for the previous academic year (two semesters or three quarters) or have a cumulative GPA. accumulated from 3.00 or more at the nominating agency. (2) If a student-athlete attends summer school, that student’s average grade for the summer term must be included in the calculation used to determine eligibility for the Academic Honor Roll. (3) Student-athletes eligible for Honors include recipients of athletics scholarships, recipients of athletics awards (e.g., letter winners), and student-athletes not was on a scholarship to have joined another team for two seasons. (4) Before being nominated, a student-athlete must successfully complete 24 semesters or 36 quarter hours of non-tuition to earn a baccalaureate degree at the nominating institution. (5) Student-athlete must be a member of another team in the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.
