Europe captain Suzann Pettersen has named Dame Laura Davies, Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Martens as her three vice-captains for the 2023 Solheim Cup against the United States, which will be played at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain next September.

Dame Laura Davies has been appointed as part of Team Europe’s behind-the-scenes staff for the 2023 Solheim Cup alongside Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Martens.
Captain Suzann Pettersen invited Davies to be one of her three vice-captains for the prestigious tournament that will take place in Finca Cortesin, Andalucia next September.
“Laura is a global golfing legend. Her passion and knowledge for women’s golf and especially the Solheim Cup is something we share. I have enjoyed working with her at the end of the day. last year in Toledo and I’m happy to have her in the team room again.”

Davies has made 12 league appearances, as well as being vice-captain in the 2019 and 2021 editions alongside Catriona Matthew.
The legend of the game has achieved golf titles globally with 87 tournament titles including 45 Women’s European Championships and 20 LPGA Tournament titles, as well as winning a record seven LET Order of Merit title.
Pettersen said: “Laura is a global golfing legend. Her passion and knowledge for women’s golf and especially the Solheim Cup is something we share. I have enjoyed working with her. her last year in Toledo and I’m happy to have her in the team room again.”
Three-time major champion Nordqvist is no stranger to the Solheim Cup having played in the last seven of the tournament between 2009 and 2021, winning four times and picking up 15.5 points for Team Europe during that time.
Nordqvist, who recently won the 2022 Big Green Egg Open on LET, has shared the track with captain Pettersen several times and they teamed up for a four-ball game at the 2009 and 2011 Solheim Cups with the winning duo in each. their contest.
