Spokesman: Zelenskyy in car accident, no serious injuries
KYIV: President of Ukraine Volodymyr ZelenskyyHis spokesman said his car collided with another vehicle early Thursday after a field visit, but he was not seriously injured.
Zelenskyy is returning to Kyiv from the Kharkiv region, where he is visiting troops in the recaptured city of Izium.
A passenger vehicle collided with the presidential motorcade in the Ukrainian capital, his spokesman, Sergii Nikiforovsaid in a Facebook post.
The driver of the other vehicle was given first aid by Zelenskyy’s medical team and taken away by ambulance. Medics examined the president, who was not seriously injured, Nikiforov wrote. He did not specify what kind of injuries Zelenskyy might have.
The spokesperson added that the circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
Zelenskyy was late to post a video of the nightly address he provided during the war, possibly due to a car accident.
