The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund approved a $2.9 billion bailout for Sri LankaChairperson Ranil Wickremesinghethe office said on Monday.
“The IMF Executive Board approved Sri Lanka’s program under the Expanded Fund Facility (EFF) that will allow Sri Lanka to access funding up to $7 billion,” the president’s office said.
