Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Paul Grant dies aged 56 after collapsing outside King’s Cross station | Ents & Arts News
An actor who appeared in the Star Wars and Harry Potter films has passed away.
Paul Grant, who played Ewok in Return of the Jedi and the elf in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was found collapsed outside King’s Cross station in London last Thursday afternoon.
The 56-year-old’s daughter, Sophie Jayne Grant, confirmed his death to Sky News, saying: “I am heartbroken… No girl deserves to have their father taken away… Mr. He is very famous and loved. [for his work]. He left too soon.”
Mr Grant was pronounced dead at 3:49am this morning, but was declared brain dead earlier after collapsing.
As well as Star Wars and Harry Potter, the 4ft 4in actor also appeared in the 1988 film Willow and the hit classic Maze alongside David Bowie in 1986.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2:08pm on Thursday 16 March to reports of an incident at St Pancras station, Euston Road.
“We sent an ambulance team and a doctor in a response vehicle. We prioritized treating a man at the scene and taking him to the hospital.”
Mr. Grant is survived by his girlfriend Maria, two daughters and a son, as well as his own children and grandchildren.
