The remake of Knights of the Old Republic sounds just like it having some trouble, but fans of the original BioWare classic have reason to celebrate. Popular collectibles maker Gentle Giant is preparing a new statue depicting one of the original game’s central characters. Jedi Knight Bastila Shan has never been more beautiful.
The character in action pose depicts Bastila Shan in battle with the Guardian Droid in the ruins of Dantooine, one of the first locations the player has visited in the game. The statue is made of PVC, has some impressive sculptures and paints. The yellow double-pointed sword in the middle of the swing is a special highlight.
If it’s been a few years since you entered the classic Star Wars RPG, Bastila Shan was already a Jedi Master thousands of years before the events of the Skywalker Saga. Among other gifts provided by the Force, she has a rare ability called meditation war, which can be used to power up allies and demoralize her enemies. At one point, she is tortured by Darth Malak and turned to the dark side, and the player is given the choice of how to interact with her – including options to redeem or kill her.
The new statue is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2023, but pre-orders will open in just a few days, on August 19 at Gentle Giant’s official website. Recommended retail price is 80 credits or $80 if you prefer your local currency.
