General Hospital star Steve Burton is seeking joint custody of his children with estranged wife Sheree Gustin.
Burton, who was married to Gustin for 23 years, filed for divorce last weekafter announcing earlier this year that he and his wife had separated.
Court documents obtained by People shows Burton is seeking joint legal and physical custody of his son Jack, 16, and daughter Brooklyn, 7. They also share 18-year-old daughter Makena together.

The documents also cite March 1, 2022 as the couple’s official date of separation and reveal that they have not signed a prenuptial agreement.
They seem to cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.
The split of the couple took place after Gustin hinted at pregnancy on her own social media this early year.
Following her post, Burton revealed that they had broken up and that he was not the father of Gustin’s child.
“I want to clarify something. Sheree and I are separating,” Burton wrote on his Instagram story at the time.
“She recently announced that she is expecting her fourth child. The child is not mine. We are still raising our three beautiful children together. We would appreciate privacy. at this point. A lot of things, Steve.”

Burton and Gustin were said to have only “cohabited” in their marriage before the split was made public.
A source said: ‘It’s strange for someone like Steve to announce this publicly, but the marriage has only been around for a while. People.
It is not yet known exactly how long Burton and Gustin have been apart. Gustin has yet to address allegations that Gustin is pregnant with another man’s child.
When Gustin apparently announced her pregnancy on Instagram, she just captioned her post: “Life is definitely full of surprises!”
