Sunday’s meeting in Stratford was conducted after two hours due to extreme heat warnings, Britain’s Equestrian Authority has confirmed.
The pass is scheduled to start at 1.57pm and end at 5:23pm, but will now start at noon and end at 3:05pm.
There are no plans to make any changes to the times at Newton Abbot and Redcar, other meetings on Sunday.
BHA veterinary officer Sally Taylor said: “While we are confident it may be safe to race at higher temperatures, we want to ensure that conditions are as comfortable as possible for horses and As a result, we’ve been proactively taking steps towards changing race dates with that in mind.
“After reviewing local weather forecasts and other important temperature factors for other courses due to race in the coming days, we do not feel that the same adjustments will be needed everywhere. .
“However, all the usual hot weather provisions will apply at all courts, with sufficient cooling facilities and regular monitoring throughout the day to help ensure the safety of those attending. our horsemen and our people.”
