BF3: Realistic Mod has been seven years in production, with about 80 people contributing to its development. It needs Battlefield 3—First released in 2011! —And turn it into something that looks almost completely unrecognizable. The new UI is, at least, the first thing you notice visually, but the most important changes here have been made to the game experience itself.
The development team says their “fundamental goal is to create more immersive gameplay and realistic experiences”, thus completely redesigning the way you play the game, with a significant increase in importance. of communicating and working successfully in small teams.
“We wanted to create an environment where to succeed, one had to rely on other team members and not just on individual skills,” they say on the project’s website. “We want to make players feel that by taking on even a small mission of a larger plan, they are contributing to their team’s victory.”
It’s not trying to be a real simulation game — like ArmA series — just a more relevant version of Battlefieldso if you think about recent shooting games like Squad or Hell to loose you will get closer to the sign of what Realistic Mods trying to achieve.
