This is the laser that Kim Kardashian uses on her abs
There’s an unwritten rule in the cosmetology world: If Kim Kardashian does it, people will enjoy it. That is the case with InMode Morpheus8a minimally invasive treatment that Kardashian recently posted about her Instagram Stories.
“This is a game changer! I used a Morpheus laser to tone my abs,” Kardashian captioned a photo of her bare abs and tagged the famous plastic surgeon based based in Los Angeles Ashkan Ghavami, MD. She added, “I think this is my favorite laser but it’s painful but worth it!”
If you’re intrigued by the star’s new “favorite laser,” you’re not alone. Searches spiked for treatments after the post — although Dr Ghavami says there’s still a huge amount of apprehension. “Surprisingly we found that patients were a little more cautious and did more research before contacting us,” said the plastic surgeon. However, he said, “There are no gimmicks here. [Kardashian] trusted our recommendations and treatments so much that she actually decided to film herself when the Morpheus8 was done in our office without us knowing that she was photographed during the session mine. She felt so great about her Morpheus8 results at our office so she was upfront with her followers and decided to share her experience.”

What is InMode Morpheus8?
As mentioned before, Morpheus8 is a combined minimally invasive treatment microneedling and radio frequency (RF). It contours and tones both the face and body, creates a smoother and more luminous appearance, and is – best of all – safe for all skin tones.
Dr. Henry explains: “Morpheus8 is a partial skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the lower layers of the dermis. “By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, facial and body tissues can be remodeled for a more radiant, youthful appearance.”
The microneedling ingredient adds to the therapeutic — and healing effect. Dr. Henry adds: “Because there are microspheres that penetrate the skin, it creates micro-injuries, which heal faster than traditional skin resurfacing methods. And unlike other skin treatments that only affect the top layers of the dermis, Morpheus8 “treats wrinkles to fat depending on depth and energy level,” explains Henry, adding that “Morpheus8 Body is specifically designed to treat larger and deeper tissues.”
What are the benefits?
In short, the treatment “stimulates collagen production and resurfaces the skin to create a more youthful appearance,” explains Dr. And although Kardashian uses the treatment to tone her abs, it’s particularly popular because it can address multiple areas and concerns at once, says Dr. Ghavami, “I get it,” says Dr. found that Morpheus8 helped with texture issues, minimized pore size, firmed and lifted skin, and even smoothed tone and color in some patients. It can even be used for skin problems like acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and stretch marks.
Here’s the key: It’s designed with dual arm units and four segmented heads with different latch configurations that enhance functionality for different body parts. There’s Morpheus8 for smaller treatment areas — think jawline, nasolabial folds, around the eyes and arms — and Morpheus8 Body for larger body areas like the belly, buttocks, and thighs. Your doctor will determine which method is right for you, depending on what you want to address.
How long will it take to see results?
Expect to see results pretty quickly. “This particular treatment is particularly popular because most patients see a marked difference from just one treatment, while other treatments can be,” says Dr. Ghavami. It takes a series of three to six treatments to see a noticeable improvement.” Even better, he says, “Downtime is also minimal, with less than one to two days for most. [people]. ”
Dr. Henry agrees, saying that “clear results can be seen within a few days, but usually after three weeks the most noticeable results appear.” Additionally, “improvement continued for up to three months after treatment.” That said, the effects are not permanent; Annual visits are recommended to maintain results.
Are there any side effects?
Kim K might call the laser “painful,” but compared to other treatments, Morpheus8 has relatively few side effects when done correctly. Dr. Henry said: “Local creams or injections are used when applicable. “With numbing cream, it’s usually tolerable at a moderate level of energy but can be a bit uncomfortable depending on your tolerance level. With local anesthetic injection, it is very well tolerated even at the highest energy levels,” says the dermatologist.
After treatment, you may see some redness and/or swelling, as well as small dots or scales as the needle enters the skin.
How much does it cost?
With so many benefits, Morpheus8 doesn’t come cheap: It ranges from $1,000 to $3,000 per treatment, depending on the treatment area, where you live, and the doctor you see. And again, don’t forget to budget for treatments every year to maintain results. Looking for a supplier? You can find a recommendation for a practitioner on the official InMode website.
