Trailer ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’: The First Look at Princess Peach – The Nation

Again Movie Super Mario Bros. trailer, another chance to be weird by Chris Pratt’s Italian accent.

It’s only been a few weeks since we learned of the first official trailer for the long-awaited movie Super Mario Bros. an animated movie, but now we have a second trailer that dives deeper into the battle for supremacy in the Mario universe.

The trailer begins with Mario – voiced by Pratt – muttering a breathy “let’s go” while entering a large arena of chanting fans. Last month, movie fans pointed out that Pratt’s Mario character lacked the character’s classic, exaggerated Italian flair.

Then we see the protagonist go head-to-head with Donkey Kong, voiced by Seth Rogen, who gives him a complete and utter blow.

Perhaps most exciting, however, is our first look at Princess Peach. She is tall and brave and ready to fight. Voiced by Ana Taylor-Joy, Princess Peach will lead an army of Reluctant Toads to join Jack Black’s fight against Bowser.

Fans of the video game franchise will be delighted to see some of the props and characters that have been with us since the first iterations of this series. super mario and Donkey Kong series. Koopa Troopas, Cheep Cheeps, and an island full of Yoshis can be spotted as the trailer continues.

There are also short clips of Mario in a Tanooki power-up suit, a cameo from Cranky Kong, and a race with Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road.

Nintendo Direct also released a second form of the trailer featuring a pre-recorded clip of the film’s actors talking about the film. During the presentation, Donkey Kong Creator Shigeru Miyamoto teased fans by saying, “It’s almost done… and I can’t say anything else about it.”

If we’re lucky, we’ll get to see even more of the vast Mario universe and the characters we’ve come to love over the years.

Movie Super Mario Bros. will hit theaters on April 7, 2023.
