Tuscola County deputy sheriff saves choking woman’s life
CARO, Mih. (WNEM) – The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office said one of its deputies was in the right place at the right time after he rescued a woman who was choking.
In a Facebook post, the office said that William Webster was taking a class at Delta College, and the group went to a nearby restaurant for a meal.
While inside the restaurant, Webster asked another diner if anyone knew of Heimlich’s tricks, which is when he saw a woman gasping for breath and biting her throat.
The sheriff’s office said the woman had a piece of food stuck in her throat.
Webster performed the maneuver and was able to help the woman breathe again.
