(Updated) Hypertension listed as cause of death for Kevin Samuels
YouTuber coming back in May Kevin Samuels Shocking death at the age of 57. There was some doubt surrounding his passing, but now an official cause of death has been announced.
Based on TMZ, the Fulton County Medical Examiner announced that hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, was the cause of Kevin Samuels’ death. The medical examiner said,
“Evidence for hypertension includes a heart with thicker-than-normal chambers.”
At the time of his death, Kevin was believed to have been taking a medication called Atenolol, which was listed as possibly helping with hypertension.
Like before reported, in May, Kevin was found by Atlanta police “unresponsive on the floor of his apartment”. There was a woman with Kevin in his apartment when he was found unresponsive. She told authorities he complained of chest pain, and she tried to help him, but he collapsed and she called the police.
The incident report at the time said, “she asked the 911 operator to contact the front desk to purchase a defibrillator to keep Mr. Samuels responsive until Grady arrived as she was a nurse.” .”
Shortly after Kevin passed away, the 911 call made on the day of his death was released. The woman, identified as Ms Ortencia Alcantara, was asked if he was conscious, and at the time she said: “No, he has an irregular rhythm, I can feel it. He was breathing in and out, but he had an irregular rhythm.”
Kevin became famous online through his video content giving dating advice to people from all over the world. His content often causes debate among many people.
A week after his death, an episode of the popular FX series “Atlanta”, starring Kevin was broadcast on television.
