US expands access to internet services for Iran


WASHINGTON: Washington announced Friday that it will relax export restrictions on Iran to expand access to internet services, which have been restricted by the government amid a crackdown on protesters.
After the death of a woman in the custody of the country’s ethics police, Tehran has moved to cut off the Internet in what US Treasury allegedly an attempt “to stop the world from following their violent crackdown on peaceful protesters.”
