Visit to Michigan made a strong impression on TE Zack Marshall
Zack Marshall loved his recent visit to Michigan.
Traditional. Coaching staff. Hometown feeling. More and more.
“It’s a great place,” Marshall said. “It’s a special place. Ann Arbor is a wonderful town. I like the feel of a small town with a lot of people. It feels like home and a very big family in Michigan.”
The three-star tight finish from Carlsbad, California, may have connected with Michigan employees in 2024, five-star quarterback Julian Sayin in 2024 but Marshall ran with it after the initial connection.
Marshall is glad that after meeting with trainer Jim Harbaugh and spending time around the werewolves, they’re definitely being taken seriously.
“Harbaugh is a great guy,” Marshall said.
“I absolutely loved just meeting him and he did it all. He was not only the first round draft picker but also the first round draft picks coach and he made the first round draft picks. There’s a guy with his status, I think he’s the only guy alive who’s ever done it.”
Several other Pac-12 schools have shown interest in Marshall, but Michigan has certainly stepped up to it in recent times.
A big senior season with more exposure at Carlsbad could be coming but Michigan is one to seriously consider right now.
“Michigan’s pedigree is second to none,” says Marshall. “They’ve been good for so many years especially when it comes to tight finishes and what I see for my future, their pedigree is amazing, not to mention the academic prowess at this school. It checks both of those boxes. “
