Reagan Rutherford, Kentucky

Rutherford, a junior from Missouri City, Texas, scored 5.83 points and 5.00 kills per set along with a .365 hit rate in the sweepstakes in Arkansas last weekend. In Friday’s opening game, Rutherford scored 26 kills, 14 digs and 9 blocks, all career highs. On Saturday, she scored 19 kills on just 36 spins with a career-high 361 hit rate, an ace and 17 digs.

Cammy Niesen, Miss Ole

Niesen, a freshman libero from Cincinnati, Ohio, averaged 5.25 per set in the series that swept through Alabama. On Friday, Niesen scored her third consecutive game of more than 20 digs, marking the best career record of 29. She added 23 more digs on Saturday to help the Rebel defense hold up. their opponents with a hit rate of 0.150 on the weekend.

Emma Grome, Kentucky

Grome, a sophomore from Loveland, Ohio, averaged 12.56 assists per set as her team won the series at Arkansas. Grome notched 63 assists in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Arkansas, after she posted a 50-assist display Friday night. She now has 5 matches with more than 50 assists, including 3 of the last 6.

First year student of the week

Vivian Miller, Miss Ole

Miller, an outside hitter from Jupiter, Fla., averaged 4.56 points, 4.13 kills and 2.88 digs per set and scored 0.338 in the series that swept across Alabama. Miller scored his colleague’s second double in Saturday’s game with a career high of 18 kills and 17 digs. She also added four blocks and an ace over the weekend.
