Xbox Series X/S is getting noise cancellation

The days of having to endure the loud, obnoxious breathing of your friends over Xbox Party voice chat are over, as Xbox just released the new Xbox Series X/S Noise Cancellation. It’s available now Download the latest Xbox system update.

“We added noise cancellation for parties on Xbox Series X consoles | S to help eliminate unwanted noises like gamepad clicks, breathing, and background noise from your parties, the release notes said.

This feature can be turned on or off at any time by opening the guide and accessing the “Options” section of the “Party and chat” feature. From there, you can enable or disable noise cancellation.

Xbox is the latest company to offer this technology, after apps like Zoom, Discord and Nvidia started rolling out their noise filtering featuresallowing users to completely filter out ambient noise.

The update also brings more features, such as the ability to now join a game from friends’ shared snapshots – meaning you can now watch your friends’ matches and Start playing the game right after that for yourself.
