As Zendaya stylist Law Roach said on his Instagram, “The 2nd EMMY deserves a 2nd dress…..” And he and Zendaya definitely brought in a second Valentino suit last night. The actress stepped out at HBO’s Emmys after-party at San Vicente Bungalows, wearing a flowing red dress with a deep neckline and dramatic train silhouette. Zendaya’s hair was styled for the occasion after being half up and half loose during the Emmys ceremony.
Zendaya had one of the best collection of the awards night, wearing a black Valentino dress with a bow tie at the waist. She make a history in the dress, becoming the first Black woman to twice win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and the youngest person ever to win two acting Emmys at age 26.
Zendaya dedicated to her speech for those struggling with drug addiction like her Happiness character Rue or people helping others through it. She speaks:
Wonderful! Hi! This means a lot. Thank you, thank you very much. OH. To all the incredible actresses in this category, I am honored to be by your side. Thanks to the incredible cast and crew of Euphoria for creating a safe space in which to make this very challenging show. I love you all so much. Thank you to the Academy. Thank you to my friends and family, some of them are here tonight. Thank Sam [Levinson] to share Rue with me. Thank you for believing in me even in those moments when I don’t believe in myself and in the end, I just want to tell you, my biggest wish for Happiness is that it can help cure people. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who shared their stories with me. I want you to know that anyone who has loved Rue or feels like they are a Rue, I want you to know that I am so grateful for your stories and I take them with me, and I take them with her. Thank you very much.
